Instagram, has just launched a new functionality to prevent potential theft of credentials to its users. These types of attacks have been increasingly focused on these services, due to their enormous expansion and current market share.
Instagram has decided to increase the security of user accounts with the possibility to use a two factor authentication system.
In addition to a good number of Internet applications and services that make use of two-factor authentication (2FA) as a security measure these days, this social network has been the last to join the trend.
After the numerous hacking cases in other similar services, it is not surprising that Instagram now wants to offer its users an extra level of protection. This system, once enabled, will request the introduction of a six-digit code that is sent to the mobile phone through an SMS, eliminating to a great extent the risk of unauthorized access to personal accounts.
Instagram becomes more strict towards sensitive content.
The social network has just announced that it will soon start blurring photos posted on its platform that are considered sensitive. Nudity is already prohibited, so the blur of images you plan to apply, will be carried out on photos that may be considered inappropriate.
This is something that will be effective in case the platform determines that the content is sensitive after being reported by users and reviewed, so that content will become blurred in our wall, although we can open the image to see Its contents.
In addition also new functions are released:
New Instagram Live feature that allows advertising
Possibility to share 10 photos or videos in one update
It will soon be possible to make reservations in restaurants, hotels, hairdressers, dentists etc.
